Back Ground On Edmundo (POEONE) Loayza:
Based out of Los Angeles California, PoeOne started Breaking
(Break-Dancing) at the early age of 12.(1982). 3 decades later POEONE
is a worldwide renowned B-Boy (Break-Dancer). His Crews that he is a
part of are Style Elements Crew, Rock So Fresh, Zulu Kingz and
Groovaloos. He has helped educate and has been a source of inspiration
for such crews as Killafornia, Super Crew (Americas Best Dance Crew
Winners), Jabba Wockees (Americas best dance crew winners), Massive
Monkees, Groovaloos and many many others around the world. PoeOne is
one of the most respected B-Boy judges and teachers in the world. He
along with the Groovaloos were invited as special guest performers at
So you think you Can Dance, The Wayne Brady Show and have performed
for countless corporate industrials and live events nationwide
including Nike, Adidas, Sketchers, The Music Video Producer Awards, and
The American Choreography Awards. He has received many awards for his
contributions to the community and The Breaking Dance world.
PoeOne in 2005 decided to form a Master workshop program
E.O.T.O.
(Each One Teach One) that will teach all students to become better and
have a better understanding of the dance itself. (Break-Dancing). This
Master Workshop also helps the student become better teachers, if the
student would want to begin to teach. The 3 Hour workshops will consist
of breaking down each category of Breaking into chapters. For example
Top Rocking, Go Downs, Footwork or leg Work, dynamics(Power Moves,spins
ect..) and Freezes. Each Category is broken down in itself as chapters,
and is explained the reason and its purpose of each move. Names of
moves and gestures will be explained. Exercises and drills will be
taught to help each individual master all directions on any move. The
importance of History, Character, Finnes,Style, Originality,Energy and
Self confidence.
